Central Asia – forging opportunities for growth in mining and exploration / MINEX Central Asia, 19-21 April 2016

Central Asia – forging opportunities for growth in mining and exploration. Over the past 25 years since gaining independence, Central Asian countries have witnessed rapid development and economic growth. However, the slump of commodity prices and recession in Russia are forcing the region to look for new models of growth. Forging new partnerships and cross – border cooperation, exploring new markets, creating transparent and fair terms for businesses and investors, widening the role for private sector are the key issues currently debated by the policy makers, businesses and investors

The unfolding changes and reforms taking place in the Mining industries in Central Asian countries will be addressed at the 7th MINEX Central Asia Mining & Exploration Forum organised on 19-21 April 2016 in Astana (Kazakhstan).

The event will establish a dynamic dialogue between government and private sector organised under the slogan “‘Mining and Exploration Industries – prospects and opportunities for creating economic growth”.

  • Over 300 local and international delegates are expected to attend the Forum this year.
  • Trade and Investment exhibition held alongside the Forum will offer entry point for international companies interested in presenting their products and services to the local mining industries.
  • Key government officials, mining executives, investors, technological companies, financiers and service companies will present on opportunities and developments in the mining industries in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
  • Organised in the run-up of the Forum international Survey “Central Asia – open for mining?” will present an independent snapshot of the public perception of current conditions for doing business and developing mining projects in the region.
